Fancy connecting with people from all walks of life and helping them find purpose & meaning in what they do? Are you someone who is bubbly, loves sending positive vibes to your teammates & treasure quality relationships at the workplace?

If you like the idea of applying the best practices from other companies, toying with out-of-the-box ideas and never be pigeon-holed into one particular HR function, you might just be the person we're looking for.

[About Our Company]

Our team is on a mission to create the best learning experience when it comes to Science tuition.

We're constantly pushing back against traditional teaching practices that no longer work as well in this day and age. Lessons at The Pique Lab are designed based on pedagogical research, data-driven methodologies and has a purpose: they infuse plenty of joy in learning, shorten learning curves and help students develop a genuine appreciation for Science.

Our team of over 70 members spanning across 3 countries (Singapore, Philippines and China) operates in an open, fast-paced, flat environment where every team member is known for their competencies & skills, rather than their job titles.

[The Role]

We are looking for a passionate HR professional who wants to take up the challenge of developing our People & Culture team.

Your mission is to help build a rock-solid culture that aligns strongly with our people's values, so that they are able to find meaning and purpose in their work.

Being successful in your role means that our team members feel like they are part of a close-knit community who truly care about their well-being and growth. They love what they do and are intrinsically motivated to contribute to our mission of helping more children learn better.

As a HR Executive, you will support the rapid growth of our organisation by executing the full spectrum of HR operations, including building strong talent pipelines and retaining great team members.

With so many companies to pick from, what’s really in it for you to join us?

#1: Growth Is The Only Constant: You’ll pick up plenty of valuable skills that will help you hone your craft as a culture builder – from impeccable analytical skills to negotiation to supernatural anticipation.

We thrive on using the latest tech tools to help us become more efficient & productive at our work, so we can focus on higher value activities instead of pencil-pushing tasks.

#2: Never A Dull Day With Us: From handling routine HR ops work to making recommendations at a strategic level, this role is perfect for individuals who appreciate the plethora of opportunities to hone their craft as a HR Generalist.

Heads up: You'll be working on cool talent acquisition & employee engagement projects, where you get to experiment with crazy ideas that will blow your socks off (yes, failure is part of the process!)

#3: Set The Culture & Grow YOUR Team: We’re a young team (averaging at 26) who are insanely passionate about our craft and work together like a close-knit family. You’ll join us at a pivotal movement where we scale rapidly & this means more opportunities when you embark on this journey with us.

As a stretch goal, you may get the opportunity to groom and lead a HR Team under you within 6 to 12 months, once we unlock certain growth targets together.

[Responsibilities]

Exciting Work (80% of Your Time)

+ Talent Acquisition: You’ll help to hunt for prospective talents in education and technology space, manage job postings, arrange interviews, negotiate hiring offers and on/off board team members.

+ Policy Development & Compliance: You’ll listen to our team’s feedback, develop sound HR policies, guidelines & procedures that comply fully with regulatory requirements.

+ Talent Management & Culture Development: You’ll research and propose creative strategies of improving the company’s culture and make the team feel engaged at work.

Essential Work (20% of Your Time)

+ HR Administration: You’ll help to ensure that our employee data in our HRMS (personnel records, leave records & claim records) are kept up to date at all times.

+ Payroll: You’ll help to prepare our company’s payroll using our HRMS (… the process is heavily automated and will take no longer than 3 hours each month to prepare each payroll cycle.)

+ Performance Management: You’ll support the planning & management of annual performance review cycle, probation & confirmation reviews.
