We are looking to work with Primary Math Curriculum Writers who are interested and available to help us write questions on a freelance, project-basis.

[About The Opportunity]

We are working towards publishing Primary Math assessment books that are organised based on heuristics and accompanying question types.
 

Reporting to the Head of Curriculum, you are responsible for:

1. Writing heuristic-based questions in accordance to the Primary Math syllabus by the Ministry of Education (Singapore), while adhering to our publishing guidelines.
2. Providing fully worked solutions for every question written, including the use of diagrams when necessary.

Given that this is a freelance, project-based role, you manage and plan your time based on our deadlines & get paid based upon the successful completion of your deliverables.

[You, Our Ideal Candidate]

[Required] Experience

• Prior experience in designing Primary Math Curriculum: We’ve love to meet you if you’ve set primary math examination papers or written/edited assessment books for publishers.

or

• Prior experience in teaching Primary Mathematics: You have commercial experience (e.g. teaching in MOE schools, learning centres or private tuition) OR volunteering experience (e.g. coaching children in after-school care centres) teaching Primary Mathematics and have a good understanding of mathematical question types.

Personality

• Passion for Mathematics: You derive joy from simplifying Mathematical concepts using step-by-step approaches and real-life applications to help others learn Mathematics.
• Detail-oriented: Working with large databases doesn’t faze you and you always have a habit of checking your work before submitting.
• Work well independently & as a team member: You’re able to carry out your assigned tasks under minimal supervision.
• Committed: We’ll set milestones together with you you and we expect that you deliver as promised.
