We are looking for a creative and resourceful STEM Curriculum Designer who designs theme-based workshops of different hands-on activities and experiments aimed to help students aged 7 to 10 learn Science concepts the fun way.

[Your Role As Our STEM Curriculum Designer]

As our STEM Curriculum Designer, you’ll be a key team player in spearheading our new business growth area of seasonal, theme-based workshops comprising of different hands-on activities and experiments for young students.

 

Experiment Designer Scope:

  • Design our theme-based STEM workshop curriculum: You’ll be required to translate Science concepts into fascinating storylines and fun hands-on activities.
    • Storylines: Take a look at our socials and you’ll notice that using illustrated characters is a huge part of our visual DNA. We’re looking to base the storylines on our mascot and other illustrated characters, which will help ensure originality in our workshop concepts & strengthen our branding.
    • Activities: Each theme/storyline should include specific learning outcomes. We also want to help young students express themselves artistically through the planned activities.
  • Lead the preparation of our STEM workshops: From the procurement of materials to the development of scripts, you’ll be working behind-the-scenes to bring these workshops to life. Depending on your level of expertise, you may get to deliver these workshops on your own.
  • Propose experiment/activity ideas for other use cases within the organisation: You’ll be responsible for coming up with relevant Science experiments and Math hands-on activities, which will be incorporated into our weekly class curriculum and recorded for our content channels.

Experiment Instructor Scope:

  • Guide students through our STEM workshops: As the instructor, you will guide students and ensure they understand scientific principles and procedures through clear, concise instruction. You will also enforce safety protocols to create a secure learning environment.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Since you’ll be required to communicate regularly with various stakeholders to conceptualise the different workshops, you need to be able to write and speak English well.
  • Resourceful & Open To Experimentation: To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be resourceful in sourcing materials and troubleshooting effectively to consistently achieve the outcomes of the planned activities as intended.
  • Strong Project Management & Organisational Skills: You’re proficient in creating timelines, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
